How To Turn Your Podcast Into a Video

3 minute read
Michael Aubry

In this quick guide I am going to uncover what it takes for you to convert your podcast audio into a video. It's a lot easier than you think. As long as you have the proper tools.

First let me cover why you might want to do that. As you make an effort to grow your brand or podcast. You are going to want to get as much attention as you possibly can. The eyes and ears are all over the internet. The thing is it's mostly eyes. So you're going to need a way to capture attention with your audio in a visual way. Especially with platforms like Instagram.

Lucky for you. I have built an amazing tool that virtually makes it impossible to have an atrocious looking video. It's also fast, enjoyable, and easy to use. So I digress. Lets get into the three main steps you need to produce a result ready to go in just a few minutes.

Trim the audio

We have made it super easy for you to upload the audio from your podcast and trim it with our trimming tool. This is a necessary feature for a lot of audio related tasks you may have. Now you have one less step needed in producing a video that is ready for social media.

Simply upload the audio, then select it. You will be prompted to trim the audio file. Just select the segment of the podcast clip that is perfect for promotion i.e a highlight that will attract potential listeners. Then click "add to timeline". A new trimmed file will be created for you to use.

Design the visual

Here is where it gets really fun and the core power of Story Creator App is unleashed. You can keep it simple, or get really creative. Something that works really well is having an image about the podcast episode. Customers like using an image of the guest. You can doctor it in Photoshop, or make a template where it has your branding. Then you can plug in the guest within that template.

Another key feature is the animated text option. The app has a wide selection to choose from. You can add lower third animations to promote the name of the guest and give viewers some context in an engaging way. Another good use of lower thirds and animated text is to describe details about the podcast episode.

Add an audio visualizer

Nothing says hey this video contains audio better than a visualizer. You don't want any old visualizer that looks like it's from a high schooler. You want a premium looking visualizer that is pre made and ready to go. All you have to do is plug and play.
