The new Motionbox
As a company, it's important to constantly reassess and realign our focus in order to better serve our customers and compete in the market. With that in mind, we've recently made the decision to shift our focus and refine our value proposition in order to better cater to a specific niche market segment.
Up until now, we've offered a video editor for general use, but moving forward, we'll be specifically targeting marketing teams as our primary audience and offering specialized video tools for them. By narrowing our focus and tailoring our offering to this particular group, we aim to excel in serving their needs and becoming the go-to solution for their video needs.
To be more specific, the group we want to serve initially are marketing teams at startups. This group represents a market with significant potential for growth, and we believe that by offering specialized tools specifically tailored to their needs, we'll be able to offer unparalleled value and stand out in a crowded market.
So, what does this shift in focus mean in terms of our product offering? To kick things off, we're launching a video screen recorder that we see as a gateway to later expanding with other tools. The screen recorder has an innumerable amount of use cases and will allow us to offer an end-to-end solution of video tools for marketing teams - from video recording, through editing and later a sharing page that helps them for internal use or to share it with the internet in the form of a landing page for lead generation.
But it doesn't stop there. With the number of use cases our screen recorder offers, we plan to subsequently expand into other departments of our clients such as HR, Product, Engineering, Support, Sales, Design, etc. In other words, we see this as just the beginning of our journey to become the go-to solution for all video needs within tech startups.
In summary, our new value proposition will combine the functionality of a screen recorder (like Loom), video editing capabilities (like Descript), and the ability to share landing pages with specific permissions (like Notion) for both internal use and public publishing. We're confident that this all-in-one solution will be a game-changer for marketing teams and can't wait to see what the future holds for Motionbox.
We understand that this shift in focus may not be for everyone, and we want to assure our current and potential customers that we'll continue to offer top-notch support and service no matter what. But we're excited about this new direction and believe it represents a huge growth opportunity for our company. We can't wait to see what the future holds and hope you'll join us on this journey.
