SWF file is an Adobe flash file format which contains videos and vector based animations. Programmers can generate SWF files from within several Adobe products. SWF files may also occur in programs, commonly browser games, using ActionScript. The original purpose of SWF files was to create small files for displaying entertaining animations, built by a small company called FutureWave Software. Apple iOS devices do not support the Flash Player plugin -- thanks Steve Jobs. So FLV is probably not the ideal format for using on social media sites that are primarily mobile optimizied.
How you can convert swf to flv
